Edit: Tuesday I’ll post a combined reading calendar.
I’m going to recommend you check out the Virginia Woolf Reading Group and subscribe. Starting in June, Tash is leading a read-through of Mrs. Dalloway. I would like us to follow along, and I’ll share my thoughts on the reading here.
This has inspired me to see what other literary Substacks we could support and who could inspire our reading. The first to come to mind was A Year in Kafka. Leonard Gaya is studying the man and his fiction all year, and I think we should come along for the journey.
(More after the image.)
The final addition (for the moment) is the first account I followed on Substack. The Night Does not End is professor and author Aaaron Gwyn’s study of Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. Blood Meridian is not for the faint of heart. Very violent. (Mother, this book is not for you.)
Come along for the ride,
Thaddeus Thomas
